MENTOR FOR HOPE

Recently, we learnt about the "Mentor for Hope" initiative set up by HCJC alumni Elise Tan Yee Ling (03S66) and supported by Andrew Tan Teng Ho (05S69), who were moved to take action by what they have seen and heard around them during the COVID19 pandemic. We share here some ways in which alumni could participate!

Mentor for Hope aims to benefit startup founders and entrepreneurs with industry expert mentorship by VC and other business leader volunteers. If you are an entrepreneur looking for mentorship, do get in touch with the initiative here bit.ly/Mentor-for-hope-founders

This month, Andrew and Elise are also collecting donations for two chosen charities, Beyond Social Services and Willing Hearts Soup Kitchen. If these causes resonate with you, do consider supporting their donation drive at https://give.asia/campaign/we-can-all-do-our-part-with-mentorforhope#/

The Mentor for Hope initiative has a finale event coming up shortly on 16 June 2020, 4 - 5.30pm (SGT). Join in this panel discussion with Jenny Lee (Managing Partner of GGV),  Abheek Anand (MD of Sequoia Capital) and David Sng (Growth Lead at Stripe and GGV Fellow), moderated by Steve Melhuish (Partner at Wavemaker Partners and Vice Chairman & Co-founder of Propertyguru) to figure out what's next for businesses and start-ups in Southeast Asia post COVID-19.

They will be discussing what to expect coming out of the lockdown across Asia as well as how startups can better prepare for the post COVID-19 landscape. This event is free for #MFH participants and $19 (early bird price) and $29 (U.P) for other attendees. All proceeds will go directly to their beneficiaries (Beyond Social Services and Willing Hearts Soup Kitchen), and Temasek oscar@sg will be matching dollar for dollar as well.

Take this chance to learn from the experts while supporting a charitable cause at the same time. Sign up now at https://bit.ly/mfh-finale
